Recently we responded to a customer's request for information on homes on the water on Longboat Key under $2 million with a boat dock for a 40 ft. boat and very close to the beach. We searched Longboat Key condos too as these customers from the United Kingdom weren't sure yet what their lifestyle options would be.

After several back and forth emails, our English friends decided on a house instead of a condo. The selection of Longboat Key homes is certainly sufficient as there are over 150 homes on the market listed in the Sarasota MLS.

Keep in mind now that our customers want to house a large boat also. Searching the Longboat Key waterfront homes available with boat docks under $2 million, our results show 60 homes listed with private docks. Next we narrowed the search to docks that accommodate large boats so this takes much more time as many Realtors don't put that information in a search field. Another factor in the mix is "close to the beach".
